Companies, organizations, property owners, and property managers can choose to create their own no-smoking rules for their property.
They can decide what those rules look like, such as:
- No smoking anywhere on the property
- No smoking except in designated smoking areas
- No smoking within a certain distance (like 20 or 50 feet) from building entrances, exits, or windows 20 feet) from any main exit, entrance, or operable window of the building

Anyone can adopt a policy that states they will not accept any type of sponsorship from the tobacco industry.
