Haze Over E-cigs

UT San Diego: December 7th 2013-  Use of electronic cigarettes — also known as e-cigarettes or e-cigs — doubled among middle school and high schools students between 2011 and 2012. E-cigarettes come in flavors such as peach, mango and bubble gum and supporters are touting them as a great alternative for people trying to quit smoking. Health advocates see them as a “gateway drug” and are urging the FDA to regulate them. Several cities, including a couple in San Diego County, have banned their use in places where tobacco cigarettes are prohibited.
