The California Air Resources Board is a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency, an organization which reports directly to the Governor's Office in the Executive Branch of California State Government. The Mission of the California Air Resources Board is to promote and protect public health, welfare and ecological resources through the effective and efficient reduction of air pollutants while recognizing and considering the effects on the economy of the state.

The Center for Tobacco Policy and Organizing

The Mission of the Center for Tobacco Policy and Organizing is to help all Proposition 99 funded organizations wage effective tobacco control policy campaigns. The center provides technical assistance in the development of work plans focused on community-norm change strategies, community mobilization, and capacity building of local communities and agencies to address tobacco control activities and wage effective tobacco control policy campaigns.

TALC is a clearinghouse on tobacco policy issues in California, a place for "one-stop shopping" for solid legal advice. TALC attorneys provide high-quality legal technical assistance free of charge for the tobacco policy needs of advocates, health professionals, government attorneys, and elected officials in California. |

San Diego County Tobacco Control Resource Program

TCRP is a program of Chronic Disease and Health Disparities that works to increase awareness of the health risks of tobacco use and to reduce exposure to second-hand smoke. TCRP also works to counter pro-tobacco influences, reduce tobacco sales to youth under 18 and encourage tobacco users to quit.

The Mission of the Tobacco Control Coalition (TCC) of San Diego County is to improve and protect the health of San Diegans by promoting tobacco-free lifestyles and environments. TCC is committed to assisting tobacco users in quitting, encouraging individuals to refrain from using tobacco products, and supporting the establishment of tobacco-free policies.

The Mission of the San Diego Tobacco-Free Communities Coalition is to advocate for tobacco-free lifestyles and environments. Comprised of 30-plus member agencies, representing culturally and ethnically diverse groups of San Diego County, the coalition meets regularly to exchange their policy expertise, and to prioritize and participate in organized tobacco prevention, cessation and litter campaigns.
